About Liliana
Liliana Bakhtiari is a community leader with over 20 years of social justice experience, who has advocated for women’s and children’s health, refugee resettlement, environmental justice and career training with orphans and human trafficking victims across 24 countries across the globe.
Liliana was born in Atlanta, Georgia to an immigrant father who escaped into the United States in 1981, and a first generation Iranian mother. As someone who was often the victim of discrimination due to her race, religion and gender identity, Liliana learned first hand about the importance of social justice and committed to pursuing humanitarian work across the globe.
Experience
Bakhtiari is currently the Director of Social Justice Research for Echo Market Research. Liliana is excited to be part of the first ever SJ Division in the market research world. Bakhtiari works to ensure that the Social Justice Research Department puts data and insights into the hands of organizations, businesses, community organizers, and any group whose purpose is to tackle the root of systemic inequalities. The SJ Research Division strives to elevate the voices of the underserved and overlooked, and works to discover solutions to hopefully leave the world better off than how it was found. She also sits as a board member for GloATL, Victory Fund, Georgia Equality, PEDs, and is a Governor for Red Clay Democrats, as well as the Strategic Director for the Blue Neighbors PAC.
